International Shipping

The following guidelines will help MODdisplays ship your order internationally as smoothly as possible.

Required Information for All International Shipments

  • Company Name or Destination Name
  • Name of the Person Receiving the Package
  • Street Address (Include unit, APT, STE, etc., if applicable)
  • Postal Code / City / Region / Province / etc.
  • Country of Delivery
  • Phone Number of the Recipient
  • Email Address of the Recipient
  • Address Type: Residential or Commercial

Additional Information Required for EU Countries

  • Preferred Broker: Name, Phone Number, Email
  • VAT Number
  • EORI Number

For information on specific requirements by the destination country, please refer to this page. If you don’t have a VAT or EORI number, see the VAT and EORI sections below. Please note: MODdisplays does not ship directly to Spain due to restrictive customs regulations and high customs fees.

Duties and Taxes

  • The receiver may be responsible for paying duties, taxes, and other transit or country-specific fees upon delivery (excluding shipments from the US to Canada on the MODdisplays UPS account).
  • MODdisplays has no control over these charges and is not responsible for paying them.
  • If these fees are not paid and the package is returned, you will be responsible for return shipping charges.

General International Shipping Guidelines

  • Recommendation: If possible, ship to the U.S. first, then use your preferred shipping method and account to ship internationally. This allows for more control over the customs process.
  • Delivery Timeframe: MODdisplays does not guarantee delivery dates on international orders outside of Canada. We recommend a 2-week delivery window from the ship date.
  • Customs Charges: MODdisplays does not provide exact estimates for customs charges.
  • Shipping Broker: If you have an international shipping broker, provide their contact information (name, phone, email). Using your own broker to handle customs clearance is recommended.
  • Responsibility for Charges: If you do not have a broker, you will likely be responsible for any charges at delivery.

Shipping to Canada

  • MODdisplays holds a Non-Resident Importer License for shipments to Canada.
  • Packages shipping from the US to Canada on the MODdisplays UPS account will be delivered like domestic shipments within Canada.
  • We recommend shipping your display complete with graphics when possible.
  • For displays with graphics produced in China: If there’s no time to ship the graphics to the U.S. first, we can split-ship the order. Graphics sent directly from the Chinese print team to Canada will arrive within 3–5 business days, but the receiver may be charged duties and taxes.

What is VAT?

  • VAT (Value-Added Tax) is a unique identifier for businesses registered for VAT within their country or region. It’s necessary for charging and collecting VAT on sales.
  • Businesses typically need a VAT number if their taxable turnover exceeds a certain threshold, which varies by country.
